Understanding the Doodle Code (F1, F1B, F2, P)

F1 Bernedoodle

Bernese Mountain Dog (P) with a Purebred Mini Poodle (P)

- 50% Bernese and 50% Poodle mix.

F1b Bernedoodle

Mini Bernedoodle (F1) with a Mini Poodle (P)

-since the F1 is already 50/50, it is now worth 50% total of the next mix, making it 25% Bernese and 75% Poodle Mix

F2 Golden Doodle (or Multigenerational)

- Both are 50/50 so the ratio holds and they are still 50% Poodle and 50% Golden Retriever.

Doodle temperment

Our puppies are highly intelligent and typically quite easy to train. They are naturally social and love to be around their people, though they can be wary of strangers at first. They have a moderate to high energy level, though it depends on the puppy and their parents. Knowledge of training, boundaries and mental stimulation is important for owners of doodles because of their high intelligence.
