About Us
How did this all begin? It all began with the love of dogs.
As a young couple with three little kids and another on the way, my husband and I really wanted a Bernese Mountain Dog to add to the fun and raise puppies as part of our childrens' home-education. We knew the value of having our children learn how to care for baby animals and in turn the special effect they also had on the puppies' development. Along with our absolute love of dogs, our love for raising puppies with intentional care, puppy curriculum, and expertise grew as well.
The Bernese with their silly, loving personalities, the Golden for their loyal, sweet, playful nature and the Poodle for their hypoallergenic coat and intelligence, all came together as two specific doodle breeds for Rolling Hills Doodles. We began with a standard size Bernedoodle but soon realized that in the Fraser Valley most people want or need a smaller size due to townhouse, apartment living and cost. We have now focused on breeding either a Golden Retriever (50lbs) or Bernese Mountain Dog (under the weight of 75lbs) with a Mini Poodle for a Mini Doodle. All of our dogs are tested through Embark, are clear of any disease, are checked by certified vets regularly and passed for health before they are bred.

Our commitment is to safe and responsible breeding practices and raising methods. The puppies are born and raised inside our home under our careful watch, being held and monitored by each member of our family. It is our goal to raise healthy, happy, well adjusted pups for family pets. It is possible that many of these puppies would be very capable of being a support animal if they were trained professionally. Either way, though, we know that loving and owning a pet is always therapy and proven to lengthen lifespan and lower anxiety. Each of our puppies is treated with respect and gentleness.
Why Choose Rolling Hills Doodles?
We begin caring for your puppy by caring for their mother.
We provide our Moms with high quality nutrition, exercise and emotional care. Our Moms are trained, adaptable, well mannered and part of the family.
Breeding Moms are fully immersed in our lives which makes them fantastic, trusting, capable mothers that enjoy raising their own puppies as we support them in their job.
When our Moms have completed their role in our breeding program, they remain with the family who raised them, whether that be us or a guardian family.
Our puppies are carefully monitored from the moment they are born, receive ENS (Early Neurological Stimulation) from day 1-14, which creates a strong bond to humans, improves future performance, develops adaptable brains and helps us monitor their growth closely.
We have developed our own puppy curriculum and introduce your puppy to smells, sights, experiences and other stimuli from week 2-8 to ensure they are confident as they navigate the world they will enter when they come to your house.
Your pup will be handled by children, adults and the elderly and will be given ample time to explore freely in our yard, and with boundaries in our home. Early potty training, crate and leash exposure help your puppy develop an understanding of expectations in and outside of the home. We begin the training that will continue at their forever homes.
We love each one of our puppies and screen each potential home to ensure they are entering a prepared, kind home that is ready for the challenge and joy of raising a puppy that will grow into a well adjusted dog as part of their family.
